The Problem - Design Situation

The UAE Nurses Association claims that one of the most difficult parts of their job is
dealing with small children who have a fear of needles.Although the association has some
tips and tricks like putting numbing cream to partially freeze the surface of the skin
before injecting medicine, sometimes the anxiety levels of small children are so high that
it is difficult to get them to hold still.If only there was an easier way to administer
medicine within the syringe.

My Idea/problem

I'm going to create a funky design of a pencil case, Why? Because my sister always has issues with her pencil case, they are normally to small or heavy and dull but I'm going to create a pencil case with a wide amount of space. I'm going to use the website Tinker cad which will help me. The material I will use for the pencil case will be made out of plastic so it wont hurt my sister or wont be too heavy. I will also make it colorful and eye catchy so she would never forget it.

Idea 2/ problem

I want to create a safe cover for glass cups, Why? because now a days kids are always playing around likely to drop glass or literally anything breakable but not for long. On tinker cad i want to make a safe border around glass cups which can be made out of strong material, that doesn't break and i will design it to look amazing and safe.

My Syringe

My syringe is going to be liquid, why? Because a larger amount of children have a fear of them, so it would be challenge for me in this project. For my syringe I will be aiming at nurses, child care hospitals and skin doctors to market my product because it would be huge help/ improvement for them. For my creation I am going to keep the usual structure of the syringe but instead I will add to it, to make it look friendly and creative. The features will be simple yet interesting, on the middle of the syringe I will add a lollypop which covers the area where the blood is collected. The outside of the syringe will be painted or colored. Another design will have streamers coming down from the plunger so children will not faint at the sight of their own blood and a bow will be stuck on top. Many colors shall be used, such as: rainbow colors for the lollypop, red sparkly color for the bow, the outside color will be pink and cheerful and the streamers will consist many bright colors. My target audience will be mostly aimed at girls at the age of 8 and below because it the style and the sight of the syringe which will mostly affects females who have a fear of them.

My Second Idea

I am designing a pencil case. I know this might sound simple but trust me there are many problems about them, for example: your stationary might not fit correctly into the small space left in your pencil case, sometimes the material used to make the pencil case could be heavy and not comfortable to carry around. I will advance it, how? Well I will measure different pens and pencils to a similar height and I will expand the width as well as the space. I will change the material, so instead of a hard, rough object I will use textiles/cloth for the light weight and it won’t be too thick or too thin.  The features will include: Strips of colors which will be a bit larger amount of pencils and it will have 3 pockets for different types of stationary. The colors will be red, orange, yellow, green and blue as if it’s a rainbow but along streak instead. My creation shall be eye catching and attractive. I am aiming at kids below the age of 10 because children are more likely to want a creative and silly pencil case which makes them smile every time they look at it. Where will my design be used? My design will be usually used at schools bought by students (kids) or parents. It can also be used for artists to stack there supplies in one place so they can carry it easily from place to place.

My Third Idea

I am going to create a safe cover for glass, why? Because now a day kids are always fooling around & are likely to drop glass or even anything breakable but not for long. How will this benefit the society? Well parents and adults who have children always have to pay for broken damage, and anyone who’s clumsy and accidentally drops a breakable item (more likely cups). On Tinker cad I am going to create border, it’s going to be made out of strong material that doesn’t break easily which is rubber and the design will be circular covering the bottom of the cup all the way to the tip. When it drops the inside will be protected so no cracks wouldn’t take place. I won’t create it to be dull and boring. The colors which I will use is aqua, violet and rose red because I feel these colors are the most accurate and efficient for age 21 and above.  Where will my design be used? My design will be used around the globe. The usual places it would be placed is in glass stores, offices, and homes. My idea will be a big influence on the world any it will solve and use/loss of money and pain, to summarize it all it will solve all your problems.
